My Thoughts

šŸ“–
I received an ARC of this book.

This Fan-Rom is inspired in Disney fairytales, and youā€™ll immediately see it: the linear way the plot happens, the writing style, the spells, how the characters try to solve conflicts and talk to each other. Itā€™s like watching an old-classic animated Disney movie. It is targeted to adults. However, I disagree, and this is precisely why rating and reading this book was a bit difficult for me. If the audience was somewhere between 12 and 15 years old or younger even, with probably some minor tweaks, I would have buy it more. But for an adult, it missed the deep intrigue, tension and strategy. The narration, the pranksā€”considering our main character is in her twentiesā€”felt a bit juvenile.

Suggestion: Change the target audience, see if thereā€™s any additional adjustment needed for a younger publicā€”in terms of vocabulary or sensitive contentā€”, and hit.
