Reckless (The Powerless Trilogy #2)

🔗Author: Lauren Roberts

Highlights

This second book brought out more the authenticity of its story.

What to Expect

  • Enemies to lovers
  • Love triangle
  • Forced alliance
  • Hunter vs hunted
  • Multiple enemies
  • Fight for survival
  • Revealed secrets
  • Grief, torment, trauma
  • Multiple POVs
  • Good pace and action-packed

What I Missed

  • Everything was wonderful, until I got hit in the face with Blood & Ash references. I don’t mind this kind of inspiration, but I prefer it to be disguised so as to blend in with the story. No one expects an author to invent the wheel, but to make their chosen wheel their own.
  • The extra point of view got in the middle of the narration. I understand why it was introduced. However, those revealed details actually made the ending predictable. That said, I was still upset with the characters (LOL) when my theory was proven right.
📖
The third book in this trilogy, Fearless, will come out on April 2025.
