What I Missed
💡
All in all, it was a good read, but it doesn’t match the hype it’s built in social media for me.
- For a minute, I thought there wasn’t going to be anything left for a sequel, as the author solved most of the puzzles in this book. Therefore, my intrigue for what’s next is low. Cutting the story way before would have’d more impact.
- The ending had some weird additions and the cliffhanger felt unnatural to this story. I don’t see why the characters need this new challenge when the world itself will give them enough. For me, it was unnecessary and anticlimactic.
- There were some minor inconsistencies in the narrative which caused some noise for me, as well as many open loops with minimal explanation or context. I’m not sure we’ll see them resolved satisfactorily in the rest of the series.
