Kingdom of Lies Series #1-3

🔗Author: Stacia Stark

‼️ I finally get to review this series that I’ve read some time ago and has captivated my attention.

Highlights

The secondary characters are an essential net of support. They contribute in personality, action, leadership, and morale. There’s also balance among the characters, the world and the plot itself. And especially the world and its system of beliefs, reflected so much on our current society, was interesting.

🥇
The first book was the best!

What to Expect

  • Enemies to lovers
  • Spicy
  • True friendship and loyalty
  • Secrets and interesting twists
  • Enough action although it slows from the 2nd book onward
  • Same with the pace ⤴️
  • Multiple POVs
  • Multiple battle fronts and enemies
  • Power plays
  • Sensitive content as in torture, death, attempts of sexual assault
  • Cliffhangers

What I Missed

  • I’m not a fan of multiple points of view. I understand the need. Even when they slowed down a bit the flow, in here it’s true it wasn’t that damaging.
  • I love passionate romance. That said, sometimes the sex scenes became monotonous. Maybe there were too many and not all in the right moments.
  • How the story ends by the third book, and how it will continue in the sequel, was somehow predictable. I would have preferred no hints for a more impactful cliffhanger.
THE END
