This time I decided that instead of choosing one top choice for the issue, I would do a special for this summer. I donāt know you, but this heat squishes my brain, so I prefer some light entertaining reading to get me through. And thereās a perfect author to accompany your summer break. Letās talk Emily Henry.
Hereās what Iāll call her summer trilogy. Iāve always said it. When Emily Henry brings a book theme or some bookish element to her stories, her books always shine. And this is the case for Beach Read, Book Lovers and Funny Story, her trifecta and my summer selection for you.
And because some of you are or will soon be on vacation, and again this heat impedes our neurons for working at full capacity, Iāll keep this short.
In these three books, youāll find an opposites attract, former colleagues sort of enemies to lovers situation with two writers. Youāll also see the brooding type and bumpy encounters between an editor and a literary agent. And finally, a convoluted romance with many exes involved, where our main characters is a librarian.
Of course, our characters will have to face professional obstacles, heartbreaks, unwelcome and sometimes toxic presences from their pasts, exciting challenges and unexpected love.
Henryās writing is fun. Itās light but with certain substance as well, and as I said, for some reason, her bookish obsession always turns well for her. Youāll visit quaint towns, the beach and also the great cities.
Happy reading!
And if you want some more from Emily, check out Happy Place. The only reason I didnāt include it for this summer selection is because the charactersā challenges are deeper and more serious. So, even though I loved this book, itās not as light and rom-comical as the others could be.

Video Transcript - Part 2
Here are my top two upcoming releases of this month:
From renowned Jennifer Armentrout, comes the much anticipated conclusion to her series Flesh and Fire titled Born of Blood and Ash. Weāll finally put an end to Seraās and Nyktosās story so that we can focus on the finale for her other series Blood and Ash. Are you ready to put more pieces into this metaverse puzzle? Four years of reading and waiting for these stories to unravel. So, if youāre new to these series or well, need to catch up, Iāll leave the link to my guide below.
And moving to another Fan-Rom, C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers will be releasing Vale of Dreams, the sequel to their series Fey Spy Academy, with their legend of Arthur reinterpretation. And let me tell you. Iāve read a lot of books from C.N. Crawford and although I overall enjoy them, sometimes thereās this thing missing, that I donāt know, but I believe Alex Rivers must have been the one to bring that element to their joined writing, because I could see a different approach here in terms of drama.
