It felt like a C.N. Crawford book, but with a bit more focus or a slight change in how the author approached the trama and intrigue. Alex Rivers’s touch maybe?

This story is woven around many characters and the fantastical context of some versions of the legend of King Arthur. It’s an interesting retelling as it cues some possible surprising twists that we might see in the next book—if my suspicions are correct.
